- FIT — Free Independent Traveler; an individual or small party travelling on a customised itinerary.
- STO rate — Sell-to-operator net or wholesale rate supplied to a tour operator.

- Pax — People or passengers travelling on a booking.
- DMC — Destination Management Company; a local operator arranging services, logistics, and experiences in a destination.
- Allotment / release date — Rooms or inventory held for an operator and the date by which unused inventory must be released.
- Rooming list — The allocation of travellers to rooms, including occupancy and child details.
- SIPP code — Standard Interline Passenger Procedure code used to classify car-rental vehicle specifications.
- Markup — The margin added to a supplier cost to calculate the client selling price.
- Revision quote — A proposed change to an existing booking that is sent for approval before changing the live booking.
- Rate sheet — A supplier document or structured manual record containing prices, conditions, seasons, and inclusions.
- Booking line — One itemised service in a booking, such as an accommodation stay, transfer, activity, tour, or car rental.
- Tour operator vs agent — A tour operator packages or sells travel services; an agent sells or arranges services on behalf of a supplier or operator.
- Net vs gross — Net is the cost before the selling margin; gross is the client-facing amount after markup and applicable taxes or fees.
- Per person sharing — A price calculated for a traveller sharing accommodation, usually excluding a single-room supplement.
- Single supplement — An additional charge when one traveller occupies a room alone rather than sharing.
